Who am I ?
Matteo Miccolis is a french filmmaker based in London. Coming out of the London Film Academy with a BA in Filmmaking, his creative journey is only starting as he tries to explore the different faces of artistic expression and visual mediums.
As part of his studies, he have directed his first short film Cheeky Powder, which screened at the BFI Southbannk in 2023. Since then, he worked on different productions as Director of Photography, putting on screen his visual intepretation of strong emotional scripts, with The Bottle and Box Film, while also supporting indendant productions as 1st assistant camera, gaffer or production assistant.
Furthermore, he has worked for several months as assistant to producers for the the Electric Shadow Company, the independent production company behind The Crow (2024), BIFA nominated Name Me Lawand (2023) and BAFTA nominated Boilling Point (2021).
As for now, Matteo is working on different personal and independent projects, dedicated to bring his voice and vision to the world.
